Welcome to the Lexington House - A Night to Remember Bed & Breakfast! Our uniquely built 1870 Victorian home is certainly one of the many structural icons of Lexington, Michigan. Our home sits on a picturesque 1.5 acres with well-groomed gardens to walk through or to sit and enjoy on a relaxing day.

All five rooms have their own private bathrooms, with elegantly themed decor to fit any mood. We have WiFi and TVs in each room if you choose to stay connected while you’re here.

Staying at our elegant bed and breakfast assures you of a peaceful night’s rest. Our guests always compliment us on the luxury linens and comfortable beds. Guests are never short of 24-hour coffee service right outside their rooms along with homemade sweet bakery items that are available all day long .

Waking up to the smell of a fresh, hot breakfast is also the charm that helps set the stage of your stay here. With your choice of breakfast casseroles, fresh eggs prepared to your liking always, choices of select grade premium meats, fresh fruit parfaits, specialty teas, coffee and juices, you can't go wrong.

The experience here is always a treat when our attached seasonal Scoops Ice Cream shop is open, serving delectable treats, including hand-dipped, Michigan-made Guernsey Ice Cream, Sanders Hot Fudge Cream Puffs, malted milk shakes, slushies and ice cream nachos, to name a few of the most popular items on our menu.

Also located on our property is our freshly updated and renamed Birch Room, a multipurpose activity room that can be turned around to fit your specific needs in a jiffy. If you're looking to hold an informational meeting, do a workshop, make some gift cards, scrapbook, knit, quilt or you name it, our 24-x-16-foot space is warm, inviting, and ready to wow your guests.

The quaintness of downtown Lexington is a secret treasure for many Michiganders, located approximately an hour north of Detroit nestled along the shores of the majestic blue Lake Huron. The love of this area is that you drive only a short distance and yet have the feel of the popular well-known towns of up north! Lexington has many events throughout the year no matter what the season. If you like to boat, sail, swim, fish, golf, shop, ice fish, or just sit and relax with a beverage while enjoying the magical freighters passing by then Lexington is the ideal spot for you. At the Lexington House we also cater to boaters, providing taxi service to and from the local marina in downtown Lexington to our home. We have many fine restaurants on and near the harbor to choose from making this your get-away-place of choice. Not to mention that there are many short day trip towns along the shoreline waiting for you to enjoy their own unique charms and shopping experiences.

The Lexington House- a night to remember, is the perfect Michigan romantic getaway. The intimate Victorian bed and breakfast is just a short stroll to the Lexington State Harbor where you can enjoy Lake Huron views, a walk on the pier, or watch the freighters go by. Later enjoy dinner, a glass of wine, or local craft beer at the many restaurants that are a short walk from the pier or inn.

The inn includes beautifully manicured gardens and places to relax with nature. For an afternoon treat., enjoy a local Michigan-made ice cream cone or sundae at the inn’s very own ice cream shop, Scoops of Lexington. All of the remodeled rooms at Lexington House are luxurious and romantic. If you are looking for additional privacy for your romantic Michigan getaway, consider the first-floor Forest Room which has a private entrance and secluded patio, a perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine. Your experienced innkeepers are available to help plan your reservations for dining and activities during your stay to make this both a relaxing and romantic getaway to Pure Michigan.

Foodie-

The quaint downtown area of Lexington is filled with many outstanding restaurants, pubs, and a local winery. Some of the innkeeper's favorites include the Windjammer Bar and Grill which overlooks a private marina, the restored Cadillac House, Village Pub, Sweetwater gourmet deli, and 3 North Lexington which is a locally owned and operated brewery that specializes in serving farm-to-table bites. Just 3 short miles from Lexington in Croswell is 3 North Vines where you can sample the wine made from the grapes they grow.

Adventure-

Adventure abounds in this coastal town where you can cruise on the waters of Lake Huron with our friends from Lexington Charter Boat, kayak the many waterways and bike the many Michigan bike paths. A bike path from Lexington connects to Croswell and Port Huron has the popular Bridge to Bay Trail.

Culture-

The beautiful town of Lexington, Michigan is also known as “the First Resort North” and is home to many entertaining and cultural events such as the Bach Festival and the Music in the Park summer concert series. Lexington House Bed and Breakfast is a  member of the  Lexington Village Theatre and can help you with obtaining tickets.

Lighthouses-

Did you know that the Great Lake State of Michigan has the most lighthouses in the United States with more than 115 lighthouses? The Lexington House Bed and Breakfast is a central location to see many of these historic lighthouses. A day trip to Port Huron, about 30 minutes south, will allow you to see the majestic 82-foot-high restored Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, built as the first lighthouse in Michigan and the second on the Great Lakes. During the summer months, you’ll be able to climb to the top. While you are there tour the nearby Huron Lightship, which in its heyday served as a floating lighthouse for five decades.

You can find two other lighthouses north of Lexington, Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse at Port Hope and Harbor Beach Lighthouse, accessible via periodic boat tours in summer.

Many of the lighthouse tours include entrance fees, but know your monies are being put to good use to restore these historic icons.

Autumn-

 Autumn is a special time in Lexington. As the leaves begin to turn and the weather cools, the Lexington Arts Council hosts its annual Bach Festival in multiple small venues. It attracts outstanding musicians and is always a sell-out. You’ll also find many autumn and Halloween-related activities around town including fun spooky events and pumpkin carving contests.

Winter Fun-

After the holidays come to Lexington to enjoy ice fishing which typically runs through February. Pure Michigan is also renowned for being a migratory bird paradise in March when you can reliably see large flocks of tundra swans flying north over Lake Huron toward their summer breeding grounds in the arctic of North America.
