The Lewis House Bed and Breakfast, a stately Victorian B&B, sits atop a bluff overlooking White Lake. Just up the hill from a miles-long paved rail-to-trail bike path, it’s a short walk to water-view restaurants, neat shops and a micro-brewery, a short distance from Lake Michigan and right next door to the historic Howmet Playhouse.
Built in 1878, the home has undergone extensive renovation designed to ensure your comfort and to restore the home to its original grandeur, retaining all the charm and elegance of the late Victorian period. You'll find new, private bathrooms and individual climate control in each of the four second-floor guest rooms. The home features high ceilings, large, original windows and hardwood floors throughout.

Craft beer lovers, rejoice! You won’t have to travel far to enjoy a day full of craft beer - you don’t even have to drive! Our hometown, locally owned microbrewery, Fetch Brewing Company, is a short three blocks away from The Lewis House. Pull up a chair and order up a pint of one of their amazing brews. Innkeeper Debi recommends their Tree Stump Stout while Greg would tell you to go for the Riptide Rye. Both urge you to hurry up and Fetch ya some! Just down the street from Fetch, you can belly up to the bar at Pub One Eleven and sample a variety of Michigan craft brews from one of their 16 rotating taps. Can’t choose? Wander back and forth while you take in the jams – both frequently offer live music. Book your stay and plan your day!

Want to enjoy an evening at the theater but don’t want to drive around forever looking for a parking spot? The Lewis House Bed & Breakfast is proud to have the 101-year-old Playhouse Theater for a next-door neighbor. There is no need to fight traffic, finally, find a parking spot a zillion blocks away and then show up late for the show when you can just make your way next door and you’re there! You don’t even have to cross the street! Hanging out with the neighbors has never been more fun!
