The Castle Keep, a contemporary style building includes 5 guest suites, all with jetted tubs and fireplaces, a large breakfast room, a commercial kitchen, the Royal Retreat Spa Room, a separate entrance banquet room with handicap accessible restroom, additional public facilities, and an additional Owner/Innkeeper apartment spanning the walkout level of the building.
The Inn is nestled on a total of 65 acres of lakefront, native woodland, wildflower and lawns. A winding driveway connects the two main buildings and well marked nature trails lead to the Screen house overlooking Emerson Lake. The outside space provides extensive decking with seating surrounding a fire table, a garden igloo with year round accommodations, a screened gazebo, and expansive lawns overlooking a natural pond.
The expansive grounds and facilities create a Storybook Wedding Destination for intimate midweek weddings and romantic elopements, which have grown into an excellent profit center.
The property features advantageous commercial zoning making further expansion easily attainable. The property also offers several additional options for expansion. Architectural drawings provide future owners the opportunity to expand the multi-purpose room into three new luxury suites. If a manager's apartment is not needed, that existing space could be converted into 2 rooms to increase to 15.

There are actually two areas where on-site owners and/or management staff can live comfortably, one in each building. In the Castle, there is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment incorporated with the back-of-house areas (full kitchen and laundry facilities) which the sellers plan to freshen up with new flooring and some upgrades to the kitchen and bath. In the other building, there is a very large are that is currently configured as multi-bedroom, living areas, and baths, along with full kitchen…all at ground level with beautiful picture windows overlooking the lakefront. Plans and quotes are in process to turn some of this space into additional rental inventory, or it can be retained as owner and/or on-site manager’s quarters.
