Ypsilanti

Ypsilanti is commonly shortened to Ypsi (pronounced “yipsi”). It is part of the Detroit–Warren–Ann Arbor metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the city’s population was 20,648. It is known as the home of Eastern Michigan University and is the location of the first Domino’s Pizza. Ypsilanti has the second largest contiguous historic district in the state of Michigan.
