Grand Rapids

Located on the Grand River, the Kent County seat of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is one busy place! Check into one of the local inns or bed and breakfasts, and we’ll guide you through some of the many activities available to the Grand Rapids vacationer. This is Michigan’s second largest city and was named for the river rapids in the area. The Christian Reformed Church calls Grand Rapids home, as well as Aquinas College, Calvin College, Cornerstone University, Davenport University, and Kendall College of Art and Design. These institutions aren’t the only places for learning. The Voigt House Victorian Museum, the Van Andel Museum Center, and the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium are several of the great places to see for fun and educational purposes alike. Grand Rapids is also a great destination for the symphony and the zoos and the many galleries. Shopping, dining, sightseeing, and outdoor activities–golfing in particular–abound here in Grand Rapids. It will be difficult to find a chance to catch your breath!
