All six guest rooms of the Heather House have en suite bathrooms and private outdoor balconies, some overlooking the St. Clair River, where except for a couple winter months, you can expect to see a parade of lake freighters, ocean-going ships, tugboats and barges, pleasure boats and even the occasional cruise ship, military vessel or tall ship.
Amenities include cable TV, Wifi, central air conditioning, hair dryers, irons and boards, along with beverages and snacks. A large living room looks out on the river and boasts a wrap-around porch for relaxing and watching the freighters. The upper turret has books and games along with a beautiful view of Canada across the river.
A gourmet breakfast is served in the formal dining room, or if you prefer something more intimate, you may pick one of many spots throughout the house to dine. Custom dinners can be arranged ahead of time as well.
The Heather House may also be reserved for small or large events — from weddings to business retreats and everything in between. Be a guest at your own party.
The home is open year-round and we are happy to customize discounts for large groups or consecutive nights. Monthly specials are available on our website.
