Welcome to Greenleaf Mansion Bed and Breakfast, nestled in Onsted, Michigan's green rolling Irish Hills.  This glorious Victorian home was built in 1873 by Charles Greenleaf. Come and experience what "Greenleaf pampering and hospitality" is all about and be transported to a bygone era of relaxed elegance.

Innkeepers Diane and Steve are both Master Gardeners through Michigan State University. As you stroll through the gardens and walk through their forest and nature trail flanked by hundreds of Hosta plants, you’ll witness their landscaping talents; the lush grounds are filled with rose gardens and sitting areas, an elegant gazebo, fountains, and statues with wildlife surrounding you.

   

 Food Experience at Greenleaf

Your innkeeper Diane is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and has studied culinary arts in France and Italy. Diane’s specialties include Blueberry Waffles, a delicious homemade dill bread paired with salami, provolone cheese, garlic aioli, Eggs Benedict, Spinach, Ham, and Dill Curd Quiche- are you hungry yet?Chef Diane

Diane's breakfast uses the freshest ingredients from their organic gardens. Enjoy freshly baked pastries and fresh fruit, such as raspberries and blackberries with plenty of fresh herbs, tomatoes, and peppers for her farm-to-table omelets. Their bountiful land also consists of an orchard with apple and peach trees.

The property includes a beautiful back deck to curl up with a good book and convene with nature. Old-fashioned bright red geraniums surround you to relax and enjoy the scenery. Alfresco dining is also available in this area during the warmer months.

 

Elegant Rooms and Hospitality

The five luxurious guest rooms include lavish and period décor, honoring the inn's Victorian roots. With a background in antique appraisal and interior design, the couple has added many unique and tasteful touches.   4 poster bed at GreenleafGuests are pampered with plush white robes and towels, and comfy linen. The mansion’s five rooms include three suites with private bathrooms and fireplaces and two other rooms with shared baths. Every room has distinctive and endearing features. Coffee stations featuring Starbucks products are included in each room as a substitute for televisions and phones.

 Weddings-

The  Greenleaf Mansion is an ideal venue for small weddings of 20 people or less. One can imagine the creativity of Diane’s menu for a wedding party. Steve is also a wedding officiant, and if asked, he loves performing a formal ceremony complete with a suit, ascot, and top hat. The gazebo offers a perfect backdrop and can be decorated with fresh flowers.

Romance-

Everything at Greenleaf speaks to romance. The lavish rooms and tranquil gardens all create the perfect ingredient for a wedding night, honeymoon, anniversary, or special occasion celebration.

Historic Charm-

The historic charm of the Greenleaf Mansion takes you back to Greenleaf’s homage, given its origin as a farmhouse built by its namesake, Charles Greenleaf. Diane and Steve purchased the property in 2004. They spent 15 years completing the many renovations that include period details such as ash wood floors with dowel pegs, Tiffany light fixtures, and antique furniture that they have collected to reflect life in the 1870s.

Autumn-

Just 7 miles from the inn is the Hidden Lake Gardens. Here you will find beautifully maintained trails that are especially beautiful in the fall, along with a Bonsai Courtyard and Conservatory.

Adventure-
