This opulent home was built-in 1771 for Emanuel Schloss and his wife Rebecca and is a perfect example of the Second Empire homes built during this era. 234 Winder continues to be an iconic landmark in Detroit’s Historic Brush Park neighborhood and is a designated Michigan State Historic Site. The inn includes four elegantly appointed suites, luxurious linens, and en suite baths. You’ll find one suite with two king beds and a jacuzzi tub and another, a studio suite with breathtaking views of the stadium.
Fully restored in 2006, the inn has many of its original features, including gorgeous fireplaces, chandeliers, and grand common areas. The Winder Street Ballroom, a newly renovated extension, is elegant and luxurious and perfect for hosting baby showers, weddings, or special events.
