From business meetings to recovery retreats, from girlfriends getaways to writers workshops, from gender reveals to showers, holding a B&B event will set your event apart.
At some Michigan inns, a B&B event can be scheduled only in conjunction with one or more room reservations. However, in the off-season, the innkeeper may relax that policy. Inquire.
At some B&Bs, the innkeepers will expect to do all the catering, in which case you’ll want them to; they’re probably quite gifted. At other B&Bs, you’ll find the innkeepers are open to working with your choice of caterer.

Inn at the Rustic Gate, in a rural setting northwest of Big Rapids, specializes in retreats for groups seeking calm space for reflection and transformation.
Saravilla Bed and Breakfast, Alma, has extensive space for events on the first floor.
The Inn at Paw Paw has event space that can accommodate up to 40 for a sit-down meal and doesn’t require that you book rooms at the inn.
Innkeeper Noelene at Sherwood Forest B&B in Douglas is likely to suggest a South African-influenced hors d’oeuvres menu because of the years she spent there.
An event at Grand Victorian B&B, Bellaire, whose owners are originally from China, might feature spring rolls, which are very popular at the afternoon teas innkeeper Yuning periodically holds.
With its spacious grounds, Hexagon House B&B hosts such group events as family reunions and quilting and scrapbooking retreats.
Sand Castle Inn, South Haven will host B&B events for up to 30 persons.
