B&B Mascots: Part 2

Are pets a reflection of their human companions? If so, there are some pretty incredible innkeepers in charge of some of Michigan’s finest B&Bs. It’s a pleasure to introduce you to these amazing little personalities, each as distinctive as the inns they call home. (Find details of the B&Bs they live in by clicking on their images.)

Personable, intelligent and, despite his adorably-good looks, Rockie is quiet and self sufficient. Most guests at Saravilla B&B in Alma don't even know he lives there.

To be clear, you won’t find these pets underfoot or running here, there and everywhere when you arrive at any Lake to Lake-member B&B for your getaway. In many cases, the mascots are confined to the owners’ quarters. Those found in common areas are often allowed only when a guest asks to be introduced. They are never permitted in guest rooms. Innkeepers are highly sensitive to the fact that some guests don’t really care for animals. And they are even more sensitive to the possibility of guest allergies. That’s why you will always find the presence of animal companions fully disclosed on any member’s website.
