When there isn’t a festival on land, there is usually something fun happening on the waters of Lake Huron, Saginaw Bay, or the Saginaw River. Take a “Legends of the Saginaw Sail” on the Saginaw River and listen to fascinating tales by local historians.Take a dinner Cruise on Saginaw Bay. Charter a fishing cruise on Lake Huron. Ask the bed and breakfast innkeepers about their favorite ways to get out on the water.

One of the largest freshwater coastal wetlands on the Great Lakes is Tobico Marsh, home of the Bay City State Recreation Area.
