Northport

At the Northern tip of Leelanau County, the small town of Northport is a beautiful, quiet spot for your next vacation. Northport is surrounded by many opportunities to experience the outdoors; spend time fishing for salmon in the Manitou passage or on a chartered fishing excursion amid the Manitou Islands in Lake Michigan. Take time to hike along the more than 8 miles of trails in Leelanau State Park and while you are there, visit the beautifully restored, historic Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum. Marking the end of the Leelanau Peninsula, The Grand Traverse has a fascinating 150-year history as one of the oldest lighthouses on the Great Lakes. The village of Northport is a great place to explore the many antique and specialty shops located here as well a number of lovely little art galleries. A wonderful day trip might include taking a tour of the many local wineries, vineyards and tasting rooms located throughout the area. And after you have seen it all, make yourself at home within the beautifully appointed accommodations of one of our bed and breakfast inns; we are confident that you will be delighted with this lovely alternative to traditional hotel lodging.
