Cedar

Cedar is a township in Osceola County. Learn all about how the Manistee and Northeastern Railroad began construction, heading toward Traverse City in 1888. You can also learn more of the Cedar, Michigan heritage at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum or the Leelanau Historical Museum. One thing you’ll learn about are the deep Polish roots of the town. Hosting the National Polka Festival is evidence of that! If polka is not your music of choice, check out the variety of shows at Traverse Bay Entertainment or the Timberlee Resort. If you’re looking to do some charter fishing, contact Carlson Fisheries, Infinity Charters, Sleeping Bear Fishing Adventures, or any of the many fishing services available here in the Cedar area. Other water activities include kayaking, biking, or renting a boat at Sunset Watersports or Beach Watersports. Did you bring your golf clubs? Let’s head on out to the links at King’s Challenge Golf Courses, Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms, for the Dunes Golf Club. You’re sure to enjoy your time in Cedar, Michigan!
