Adrian
Tree City, USA . That’s what the town of Adrian is called. Because Adrian is committed to tree planting and maintenance, it has also received the Growth Award three years in a row. Speaking of trees, Adrian is also known as the Maple City. This college town rests along the Raisin River in Lenawee County, Michigan. A representative of the Erie and Kalamazoo Railroad, Addison Comstock, first settled the city, which was named for Hadrian, the Roman emperor. Whether vacationing, or visiting Adrian College or Siena Heights University, be sure to check in to one of our quaint bed and breakfast inns--lovely accommodations for rest and refreshment. There’s real excitement at Island Park. There we’ll find the new Adrian Skate Park, which includes a Start box, Launch box, Half Pyramid, Escalator Quarterpipe, Streetspine, Bank Hip comer, and a Halfpipe Combo. This is the perfect way for the kids to burn off some energy after a long car trip! For a quiet weekend, check out the performing arts, dinner theater, restaurants, wineries, antiquing, and golf. For life in the fast lane, NASCAR and other races are available at the Michigan International Speedway. Cabela’s outfitters has everything you’ll need for that exciting time here in Adrian—everything from the usual winter sports all the way to skydiving. Why not drop in?
