Stanton

Located in Montcalm County, Michigan, the town of Stanton was founded in 1860, and was named for Edwin M. Stanton, the Secretary of War. The first settler here was Levi Cambum. Soon after, many of the buildings still preserved and cared for were constructed in this hilltop town. All of this nostalgia is revisited each year when the Old Fashioned Days festival is celebrated. Maybe you’re vacationing here in Michigan, or maybe you’re here to tour Montcalm Community College. What ever the reason for your visit, you’ll want to be sure and find lodging at one of our bed and breakfast inns. You’ll be comfortable and refreshed, ready for some action tomorrow. The Mid-Michigan Raceway Park and Klackle Orchards Family Fun Farm are two examples of places that the whole family will find entertaining. You’ll be sure to enjoy a fine dinner at the Partner’s Lounge, The Depot, The Old Homestead, or the Cross Roads Café. That’s not all there is to explore here in Stanton. Practice your swing at the Holland Lake or Erdmore Golf Courses. Visit the Old Fence Rider Museum, and pick up some souvenirs to take home at the Anderson & Girls Orchard Gift Loft. Stanton, Michigan is certainly the best choice for a peaceful, relaxing vacation.
